Oh Cook is a multidisciplinary artist & producer originally from New York. Their vast amount of experience spans from performance & sound design to theatre production & music direction. They have worked and performed all over the world with various organizations including LaChanze Productions, Sound Associates Inc. and Chineke Junior Orchestra for their European tour.
Though they have participated in many roles throughout the entertainment industry, Cook never felt they saw authentic representations of themselves in mainstream media. So, like their ancestors before them, they decided to break away from the traditional and create a space for diverse voices to come together and create art that feels authentic to them.
Cook is dedicated to telling stories of the African Diaspora, finding inspiration from elements of spirituality and afro-futurism.
